My Journey

Hi! I am Shefali, the artist behind Mizuhana. I am an ex-ISRO and ex-bank employee-turned-business owner. Ex-bank, well okay but ex-ISRO why, you may ask. I simply had a realisation that if I don't see myself burning all my life in a 9-to-5 and if I don't quit that 9-to-5, then I'd be stuck there for life. It wasn't a fairytale overnight decision, and took a lot of figuring out on what to do with my life. I knew for sure that it isn't a job that my soul wants me to do, so I kept searching.
Art had always appealed to me deeply, and I experimented with the variety that it offers. Hence, I stumbled upon the art of crocheting. Love at first sight stitch: I became obsessed. Came along with it clay art, which attracted me the same way. Connecting the dots; isn't that what it's called? I'm on that middle dot right now, and the journey ahead excites me as much as the journey behind motivates me!
I blend crochet, clay and art to create cozy, pastel-hued pieces that invite calm and warmth into everyday life. Each little detail in each of my pieces gets its fair share of love. I do all the work on my own and immensely love what I do; it's like a little girl's dream come true, after all!
I started this from scratch, and seeing it take this form- manifesting into this beautiful emotion- is how I define happiness. Thank you for supporting my small handmade crafts business, even if it's just exploring my products. I will always strive to be better at my crafts and bring you the products that give you the same joy that making them gives me.
